Hanes Supply, Inc. is a well-established full -line industrial manufacturer of slings and contractor supplier specializing in lifting solutions. Hanes Supply offers a comprehensive and diverse product line to its customers including: rigging, fall protection, power tools, fasteners, hand tools, construction and safety equipment. Headquartered in Buffalo, NY, Hanes has five branches located throughout the Northeast. Hanes Supply, Inc. owns a sister company, Engineered Lifting Technologies, which needs to fill a position.

Position Summary: Develop sales opportunities and quote orders while working with engineering and production departments. Successfully capture and document customer requirements and contribute to Quality Assurance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– Observes all safety procedures, rules and regulations, and instruction in performance of job duties.

– Develop sales opportunities for ELT products.

– Convert sales quotations for potential orders into concepts by creating initial conceptual drawing of customer requirements for review / approval

– Provide counseling and guidance to customers regarding issues, obstacles and / or potential problems in order to provide solutions for their specific application based on sound engineering principles.

– Successfully capture all Customer Requirements pertinent to the pending job. Utilize Part Description(s), concept models, drawings and/or Customer Requirement record form as needed to properly convey the information to Engineering and begin establishing the Products Design Requirements. Ensure that ELT, as a company, has the capability to fully meet the requirements as documented, prior to commitment to the Customer.

– Ensure proposed products will meet the full expectation of satisfying any engineering and regulatory standards of industry that apply to the specific product requested.

– Facilitate the completion of an order by entering required information into the E2 Manufacturing System, creating the necessary folders for transfer and storage of the specific necessary documents required to properly define, manage and record all aspects of the project.

– Serve as primary source of communication with the Customer throughout the proposal and design phases of the project. Submit any necessary drawings or documents for Design Approval and answer or relay and questions or concerns that voiced by the customer during this process.

– Demonstrate ability to participate in improvement processes or in a team environment

– Work with marketing department to develop sales leads and enhance website SEO

– Produce quarterly sales reports for upper management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

– Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

– Analytical skills that are based upon civil, mechanical or structural engineering and / or construction techniques

– Self-starter that can work independently but also be a team player.

– Strong communication - interpersonal skills, verbal and written. Ability to relate on a personal level with all levels in a customer’s application environment.

– Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented.

– Computer systems literate, including 3D Modeling Software, Autodesk Inventor preferred.

– Able to review, interpret and document engineering driven production instructions such as drawings, symbols and assembly tolerances and requirements.

– High attention to detail required, must be able to self-review work.

– Knowledgeable in industry regulations and engineering principles.

– Experience in a Total Quality environment is desired.

– Experience in Quality Systems is required.

– Ability to read and comprehend various Regulatory Codes

Level of Education and Experience:

– B.S. in Engineering, Mechanical preferred or demonstrated industry related experience.

– Drafting systems training and experience preferred, Autodesk platform preferred. 3D/solid modeling ideal

– ISO background is desired.

– Previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.

– Experience in welding industry desired.
